The Shawnee Fire Department is a career fire/emergency medical service serving the City since 1924. The Fire Department is an all-hazards response agency with members sworn to protect the lives and property of all City residents and visitors to the City from the effects of fire; medical emergencies; automobile and industrial accidents; natural and man-made disasters. There are three stations serving the City; John B. Glaser Fire Station at 6501 Quivira (Headquarters), Station 72 at 5840 Renner and, Station 73 at 6805 Hedge Lane.
