Police Investigate Burglary to Shawnee Auto Pawn

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 1:47 AM, Shawnee Police Officers were sent to Shawnee Auto Pawn at 10704 Shawnee Mission Parkway on an intrusion alarm. When officers arrived they discovered someone had broken into the business through a side window.

The business owner reported, after an inventory, he was missing six pistols.

Currently, the handguns are being entered into the computer system as being stolen. Investigators are also analyzing physical evidence and talking with other agencies to see if they have any pawn shop burglaries with a similar mode of operation.
