Officers spoke to the bicyclist (an adult male) who reported that he was riding his bike on Johnson Drive when a Red Honda turned right, into the entrance to the ball fields. He struck the passenger side rear door of the car and was knocked to the ground. He suffered minor injuries. The vehicle did not stop at the accident scene.

The striking vehicle is described as a Red Honda Fit hatchback with a Kansas Tag. It was occupied by a younger (under 25) white female driver with blonde hair in a ponytail. The car also contained several female passengers.



Police are asking anyone who sees a Red Honda Fit Hatchback to obtain the license plate number and call Shawnee Police at 913-631-2150. We suspect the driver or one of the passengers lives in Western Shawnee.
